The tools that turn a screen recording into a polished demo were built for Mac and moved to subscriptions. Windows users were left with raw capture and a video editor to learn.
The problem we kept running into
Every product we shipped needed the same video: a minute of the real thing, zoomed where it matters, clean enough for a landing page. Recording it was easy. Making it look edited took an afternoon, an editor, or a tool that only ran on a Mac and wanted a monthly fee.
Ciakko is that afternoon, done by the software, on Windows.
What we believe
- The editing should happen while you record. Clicks and typing already say where the viewer should look.
- A tool that runs on your computer is sold, not rented. You pay once, and you own it.
- Your recordings are yours. Nothing is uploaded to make the product work.
- Simple beats complete. A demo needs cuts, zooms, a background and captions. Not a full editing suite.
